Catherine Ford is a British actress, born in Bloomsbury. When her father's departure from the family members, she was grew up by her mother grandparents, and godparents. While a small girl, Ford was battling anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder caused through word-related associations. Ford began to be fascinated by acting as a teenager and joined the National Youth Theatre. She gained admission to the Sylvia Young Theatre School, but decided after a week that she would not be a good fit there. Ford decided to apply for the Central School of Speech and Drama which she was eventually able to get an acceptance on her fourth application. Shaun Dingwall would play Pete Tyler, a regular character in Doctor Who. Ford received her degree in 1993. But, before then, Ford made a television debut when she appeared in Surgical Spirit in an episode from the year 1991. Ford took the professional name Catherine Tate. Tate was a part of such television shows including The Bill, Men Behaving Badly, and London Burning. Tate also regularly worked as a theatre actor and was eventually a part of the Royal Shakespeare Company during its season 2000-2001. Tate's stand-up comedy and humour, which she added to her show in 1996, soon gained her admiration.
